PC “Prosveta” ad – Belgrade is one of the oldest publishing houses in the Balkans which cherishes the tradition of publishing books since 1901, ever since the famous publisher Geca Kon, opened a bookstore in Knez Mihailova Street in Belgrade. There is no significant writer who did not publish his work in this publishing house. Ivo Andric, our only Nobel Prize winner, whose name carries this beautiful town, published his famous novel “The Bridge over Drina” firstly in “Prosveta”. He was also chairman of the editorial board of this house. PC “Prosveta” has such a production and tradition that today can rightly say that there is no generation in XX century that is not growing up with books of this publisher.
