A concert of secular and sacred music
In the Temple of Saint Prince Lazar in Andrićgrad has been held a concert of secular and sacred music of the Choir for church music and chanting of the Academy of Music at the University of East Sarajevo.
Choir conductor, Rade Radović said that reason the arrival is the presentation of choral music, and that the program is presented in two parts.
“At the beginning are performed spiritual songs from the Orthodox liturgical tradition and music from the 15th century, and in the second section are performed secular songs – by Mokranjac, Golemović, Leontović and Veličković,” says Radović.
A priest, Sredoje Andrić, says that it is great honor that the choir for music and chanting arrived to Andrićgrad in the Temple of Saint Prince Lazar.
“The ambiance and the place where is the church placed are giving a great contribution to affirm Andrićgrad culturally and spiritually and we will continue doing so in the future,” said Andric.
The choir of the church music and chanting of the Academy of Music at the University of East Sarajevo has participated many liturgies in many churches and monasteries, and also has performed at international choir and music festivals, and has won many awards and recognitions.
