Serb Educational and Cultural Society “Prosvjeta” Višegrad, in cooperation with the Association of youth theaters from Republic of Srpska is hosting the First International Festival of amateur theaters of Serbian diaspora – Višegrad in 2015, has been confirmed by the president of the Višegrad’s “Prosvjeta”, Dr. Danka Mitrović.

She has announced that this festival will host dozens of artists from Switzerland, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The festival was opened by Drama Studio “Prosvjeta” Visegrad play for children “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”, which was played on 23 May, in the full hall of House of Culture in Višegrad.

The program of the First International Festival of amateur theaters of Serbian diaspora – Visegrad in 2015, will be continued according to the following schedule:

Friday, May 29, at 10 am, DIS theater from Banja Luka: children’s play “Stara tajna” (Andrićgrad: in the building of the Faculty or at the Nikola Tesla Square, depending on weather conditions); 9 pm, Serbian-Swiss theater “Duga” Vetingen: comedy “Ljubavnik u mreži” (in the building of the Faculty or at Nikola Tesla Square).

Saturday, 30 May, 9 pm, Amateur theater “Duga” from Lopare: comedy “Edukovana žena” (in the building of the Faculty or at Nikola Tesla Square).

Monday, June 1, 12 am, Amateur Youth Theatre from Bajina Bašta: children’s play “Crvena svetla” (Great Hall of the House of Culture), 8 pm, Drama Studio “Prosvjeta” Višegrad psycho-social drama “Cezarija” (in the building of the Faculty or at Nikola Tesla Square).

The festival is organized with the financial support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Srpska – Directorate for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs in the region. Organization of this festival supported: Subsidiary Company “Hydroelectric power plants on the Drina” in Višegrad, Andrićgrad and the House of Culture from Višegrad.

Admission to all performances is free of charge.
