At Nikola Tesla Square in Andrićgrad was held 12th International Festival of Children Festival, which brought together 350 participants from Slovakia, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Republic of Srpska and Federation of BIH.

“The festival began on April 15 and we wanted to be closed in Andrićgrad, and we are very honoured that we are here today,” said the festival director, Marinko Dobraš.

He announced that next year the Festival will be organized in Andrićgrad in an even greater extent.

Manager of Andrićgrad, Đorđije Šipčić, said that it was a great pleasure to be the host of an International Children’s Folklore Festival, which this year took place in Andrićgrad.

“A large number of participants from different countries presented themselves at the festival, and we hope that in the future we will have more such festivals and cultural events,” said Šipčić.

He said that such festivals contribute to the promotion of Andrićgrad, because it was the idea that Andrićgrad become a cultural center, and to promote culture, history and tradition in the best way.

Member of the Cultural and Artistic Association “Mladost” from Macedonia, Gorgi Warm, said that it was wonderful experience to be in Andrićgrad.

“We have experienced many beautiful moments, and we also hang out a čpt and we also plan to come back here,” said Toplev.

This year’s Festival was included in the global calendar events marking the 70th anniversary of the founding of UNESCO and the 45 years since the founding of the World Association of folklore, which brings together 92 countries.
