At a ceremony on the 26th of January, in the complex of Andrićgrad, in Višegrad, was opened a new, representative restaurant “Zlatna Moruna” (Golden Sturgeon), thus catering facilities in this cultural, educational and tourist complex has been additionally completed.

The first guests of the “Zlatna Moruna”, located in the main entrance tower of Andrićgrad were participants of the eighth film-music festival “Kustendorf”, which was held in late January in Mećavnik in Mokra Gora, among whom was the famous American director of Mexican origin, Alfonso Cuarón .

The creator and majority owner of Andrićgrad, a famous movie director, Emir Kusturica, explained that the new restaurant in the town of stone was named after once famous Belgrade restaurant “Zlatna Moruna”, in which gathered members of the “Mlada Bosna” before the First World War.

“We want, here in Andrićgrad, to revive this relationship with the libertarian ideas of the members of “Mlada Bosna” of fight against the tyranny of that time,” explained Kusturica.

The walls of this, very unusual restaurant was painted with frescoes by a well-known artist Bisenija Tereščenko, the author of the famous mosaics at the “Mlada Bosna” Street in this complex, in which the characters, Gavrilo Princip and members of “Mlada Bosna”, have been immortalized.

Ms. Tereščenko in a fantastic way have managed to convey the technique of mosaic transfer to the frescoes in the new restaurant. On these frescoes are painted famous characters, whom has been given a new context,” said Kusturica, adding that visitors of the restaurant have the impression that they are watching two movies at the same time.

Kusturica explained that Tereščenko will continue to be the main painter of Andrićgrad.
