In the cinema “Dolly Bell” in Andrićgrad tonight has been shown the documentary by a film director, Hadži-Aleksandar Đurović, “You go, I will not!”, based on the book “The Chronicles of the new Kosovo Crucifixion” written by His Eminence Metropolitan Amfilohije.

Đurović says that it is a great honor because Metropolitan Amfilohije pointed his trust in me to make a movie based on his book.

“The goal of this film is to tell the truth about the suffering of the Kosovo Serbs, as well as about their religious and cultural heritage,” says Đurović.

He reminds that the film speaks about the suffering of the Serbian people – from the Battle of Kosovo up to now, with particular reference to the year 1999 and 2004, and the family drama of missing Miloš Ćirković.

Đurović points out that the message of the film to never forget the Kosovo covenant, because it has kept us through history and will keep us in the future.

“During the work on the film, which lasted about nine months, I lived only a fraction of suffering, and resurrection of our nation and its religion. It’s incredible story of one man’s achievement, but also the entire Serbian nation and Serbian Orthodox Church, with faith and a desire to preserve the holy land of Kosovo and Metohija,” says Đurović.

He adds that the film is important because victims must not be forgotten.

Deacon Savo Trivković says the movie screen is large enough to show the suffering of each individual, and the theme of this film is the suffering of the Serbian people.

“This film should prompt us to us to be united in love and in fraternal harmony, to be closer to the people die painfully. This projection is a great gift to Višegrad and Andrićgrad because it promotes and encourages people to wake up from its lethargy and look at the real world of sight,” says Trivković.

The film will be shown until Sunday, January 24th, beginning at 8 pm.
